Skiing in the entry

As I skied across the entry last night, several things came to mind.
My landing was going to hurt. Bad. I figured it might be a headlong dive into the wooden entry table which would result in probable dental damage. Oy. Nothing like a huge dental bill to make your day. I wondered how I would look with all my front teeth missing.
On the other hand, I could land on my knees and come to a stop with a head slam into the table legs or wall. How much force does it take to produce a skull fracture? I'd certainly need something stronger than Tylenol for *that* headache.
Or perhaps I'd manage to twist around and land smack on my hiney. I've got lots of padding so that shouldn't hurt as much as the previous two possibilities.
Any way this turned out, I knew I was going down and with me would go the 44 ounce Sonic Grape-Vanilla Sprite. That's going to be a nice sticky lake to clean up.
I managed to hit the floor on my knees and avoided the head into the wall/table legs scenario. Amazingly, my drink remained upright and my purse stayed nicely perched on my shoulder. But my knees - wow, nothing like slamming into a tile floor to bring tears to the eyes! In the process of the skiing, I also managed to tweak my back so that's a bit sore as well.
You're probably wondering WHY I was skiiing the entry to begin with? Rewind 3 days...
On Monday, we put the guest room back together after painting it over the weekend. We decided to forgo putting the vertical blinds back in as they're plain old ugly as can be. These sat on the sofa until Tuesday night when we put them on end by the front door for delivery to Good Will.
Yesterday FedEx dropped off a few packages and in the process of opening the door to get them, the blinds slid down the wall and ended up on the floor. And last night, after being at the charssi/Glutenada shipping facility (where the AC went out and the room temp eventually reached a breathtaking 90+, but that's another story...) I walked in from the garage and into the etnry way in the dark. It was then that I stepped on one of the impossible-to-see-in-the-dark white blind slat and began my journey across the floor.
Note to self: throw blinds into the garbage. They're man-killers!
A quiet Sunday

Ahh. I've got the day to myself. J and our son went to watch a football game so I'm here alone. In the peace and quiet. Too bad I have to work!
My wrist is finally normal again and now I'm able to catch up on work. So I'll be working on a site that I wasn't able to the last half of the week as well as painting the guest room. Nothing like painting to wipe you out. Especially when the outside temp is hovering around 100. Whew. AC is on but this particular room is the only one in the house to get the full afternoon sun so it gets wicked warm in there.
Our house is a disaster after J moved everything to the new charssi/Glutenada office. I guess I had more extra stuff on the shelving units then I thought I did. The house is being rearranged a bit now that we have the room so on top of the website work and painting the room, I also have to finish with the moving of items and restowing of things that are just floating through the house right now.
I have a deadline to get my Glutenada labels done. It's tomorrow. I've got 8 or 9 labels to do and only 3 are finished. So, I've also got to work on those.
And of course, once J is home tonight, I have to get over to the new office to set it up. Right now everything is just stacked in corners waiting for me. Joy oh joy. So, not only do I have the website work, painting the guest room, cleaning the house, working on my labels... I also get to enjoy some manual labor late tonight. Woot!
This on top of 3 hours sleep last night. Oh, today is going to be fun! But at least I have the house to myself. Ahhh...
