Cherie and this blog

Most photos seen here have come from my cellphone camera. I use an LG VX8300 with a 1.3 megapixel camera at 1280 x 960 resolution. Nothing too fancy, but it does an excellent job and allows me to share my view on the world. Enjoy!

happy birthday!

Friday, October 17, 2008

Today was sister #6's birthday. And my mom's birthday is just a few days from now so we all celebrated it tonight.

The festivities began at the local Mexican food restaurant and then moved back to my place where we had cake and are right now watching the latest Indiana Jones movie. This thing goes totally off the track at the end, but it's alright up until then.

Anyway, since everyone likes my gluten-free cake mix, I made 2 cakes for the 2 birthday gals.

Sister's cake was chocolate with caramel filling and peanut butter frosting.

Mom's was chocolate with bitter chocolate frosting and dark chocolate shavings on the top.

Scrumptious! I made both this morning and took a few photos before hiding them away for tonight.

Tomorrow I'll get a few shots of the cut slices. It was too dark to get to them tonight.

Happy birthday sis and mom!
