I’m a free-spirited gypsy. It used to be a “just at heart” kinda thing, but after 20+ years of marriage, my hubby and I made a radical life decision and embarked on a new journey. Life on the road, 24/7/365 in a travel trailer. Working where we land. Living where we park our trailer. Free spirits blown by the winds of adventure and opportunity. That rather describes me in brief. But you’d probably like to know more?
Around 1993, I used a computer for the first time. It was love at first site. Erm, sight. A few short weeks later, I’d gone from keyboard novice to full-blown addict (as our AOL bill would attest – yes, this was back in the days of being charge “by the hour” to go “online”). I immediately gravited to graphic design and that Christmas created a “chocoholic survival kit” for my mom complete with custom designed labels and insert. If you’re fortunate, you sometimes can crash land smack dab into the middle of something that you’re actually quite good at. For me, this was graphic design and eventually, website design.
As the years went by, my love affair continued. Before long I was neck deep in html and creating one website after another. For free. Just for fun. It occurred to me one day that I could make a living at this so I hung out my web design shingle and haven’t looked back since. That was quite some time ago and I’m still here – playing around with html and marveling daily that I actually get paid to play.
Together with my husband, I own/operate RedLime Web which focuses primarily on X-Cart custom programming, mods, hacks, and consulting. In addition, we also operate X-Cart Help, which as you may have guessed, offers help and support for all things X-Cart related. The geeks who program together, stay together. Or something like that.
When I’m not creating websites, I can be found nose buried in a book. Or rather, face to my Kindle. I love to read and have recently discovered several different Facebook pages that promote free Kindle books. My current waiting-to-read list is over 360. Pathetic. But because insanity loves company (or something like that).. here are the links so you too can fill your Kindle with hundreds upon hundreds of delicious books.

But I’m not just an avid reader, I also love to write and am working on my first full-length novel. I hope to have this finished and self-published by the end of 2013.
