about me

cherie as a child

A little over 16 years ago I used a computer for the first time. It was love at first site. Erm, sight. A few short weeks later, I’d gone from keyboard novice to full-blown addiction. I immediately gravited to graphic design and that Christmas created a “chocoholic survival kit” for my mom complete with custom designed labels and insert. If you’re fortunate, you sometimes can crash land smack dab into the middle of something that you’re actually quite good at. For me, this was graphic design and eventually, website design.

As the years went by, my love affair continued. Before long I was neck deep in html and creating one website after another. For free. Just for fun. It occurred to me one day that I could make a living at this so I hung out my web design shingle and haven’t looked back since.

Through this journey, my love for print and other forms of graphic design has not diminished. If anything, it’s more pressing and more encompassing. Along the way I’ve started several different ventures — bath & body, fudge, gluten-free mixes, gluten-free baked goods. With each new business and product, I created the labels and packaging as well as related print materials, businesses cards, invoices, letterhead, vinyl banners, and more. The creation of these pieces was more than half the fun of the business. There was a time when I seriously considered starting a business where I would start a business, create a brand and identity, and then sell it ready-to-go to a new owner. But common sense prevailed and I’ve managed to limit myself to keeping my addiction to create to my current client list and our own web development firm.

When you hire me, you are hiring my passion and drive to create the perfect end piece. A label that entices the buyer to reach out and pick up the item. A business card that keeps you and your business in the recipient’s mind. A vinyl banner that draws in passersby. A web banner that has the viewer clicking to see what amazing products you offer. And creative writing that’ll make your customers laugh and remember your product or line when they are thinking of purchasing again.

I am a perfectionist and I absolutely love what I do. This translates to the quality of work I provide. I won’t be happy unless you are happy and my inner perfectionist is satisfied. Happiness guaranteed!
